On behalf of the San Antonio (TX ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. We hope that you explore and learn about The Links organization, our chapter, and how to support our community service programs.
Chartered on December 10, 1960, the San Antonio Chapter is one of 283 chapters across the United States, The District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, that are “Linked in Friendship, Connected in Service.” Our chapter proudly continues its nearly 57-year legacy of service locally, nationally, and internationally.
Founded in 1946, The Links, Incorporated is a non-profit organization of women who devote their time, talents, and resources toward improving the lives of others. We deliver transformational programs that focus on Services to Youth, the Arts, National and International Trends, and Health and Human Services.
For the past three years, the San Antonio Chapter has implemented a comprehensive science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics program recognized for its Best Practices, at the Eastside Branch of the Boys and Girls Club in San Antonio. With help from our supporters and community partnerships, we have supported literacy programs with the donation of books and tablets, implemented signature arts programs and provided resources and information to our community regarding health and national issues.
The San Antonio Chapter supports the only HBCU in our community in a signficant way, having donated over $100,000 to St. Philips College Links Endowed Scholarship Fund. Through our Links High School Scholars Program, we fund scholarships for deserving high school students.
Our signature fundraiser, the Links Western Gala, gives our supporters opportunities to contribute to our youth programs and community service efforts. The 18th Annual Western Gala will be held February 17, 2018 at Pedrotti’s Northwind Ranch and we hope that you will support us by becoming an event sponsor or with a ticket purchase.
Thank you for taking an interest in our organization. We are the San Antonio Links- A Sisterhood for Good: Growing and Strengthening our Chain of Friendship and Legacy of Service in Our Community.
Yours in Friendship,
Kayla Jewitt Jackson
