Experience What a Western Gala is Like!
History of the Western Gala
The San Antonio Chapter of the Links Incorporated had their first Western Gala in 2000. Over time, this event has become the signature fundraiser of the organization. The Western Gala has traditionally been held during the month of February to coincide with San Antonio’s Rodeo that celebrates the traditions of the cowboy.
The Western Gala is held at Pedrotti’s each year. The members and guests dress in western attire and have enjoyed dinner, dancing, silent auction and games. Funds raised during this event have afforded the San Antonio Links to provide over $129,860 to St. Philip’s College Links Endowment in support of students’ academic and professional goals. Over the years the Links have awarded over $236,000 to local high school scholars pursuing higher education.
